Occupational First Aid Course (Refresher)

Learning Outcome

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

-Explain the duties and responsibilities of First Aider

-List the legal requirements under Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations for the workplace

-Check and pack contents of First Aid Box

-Apply first aid to accident victims in the workplace

-Manage a medical emergency at the workplace

-Manage victims of *hazardous chemicals exposure

-Identify common workplace accidents requiring first aid treatment

 

For Whom

Any individuals with interest in first aid or have been assigned a WSH-related role in the company. Must be physically fit and able to render help to another individual during an emergency.

The course is for individuals holding a current and valid Occupational First Aid Course with CPR+AED (OFAC) certificate which is near to expiry and wishes to renew this certification.

 

Assumed Skills Knowledge / Entry Requirement

-Learners must be above 18 years of age
-To have at least ES WPLN Level 5 & above or equivalent as otherwise
-Be physically able to perform CPR skills while kneeling on the floor
-Pregnant or with any medical history such as heart and joint issues should seek advice from their doctors prior to enrolling

-In order to qualifiy for Refresher course, trainee must have a valid Occupational First Aid License which have not expired.

 

Course overview

By the end of the course, the participants will have the relevant knowledge and application skills in demonstrating first aid/CPR skills to apply them in their workplace.

Total:18 hours (15 training hours + 3 assessment hours)
