Perform Formwork Activities

Learning Outcome

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

-State the applicable legal and other requirements for formwork and working at-height

-List the roles of a worker in formwork installation, alteration and dismantling

-State the types of formworks used in the industry

-Apply basic risk assessment for formwork activities

-Identify hazards associated with formwork activities

-Observe safety and health measures for formwork activities

-Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for formwork activities and Working-At-Height

 

For Whom

The “Perform Formwork Activities” is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers performing formwork activities works in construction sites and related industries.

 

Assumed Skills Knowledge / Entry Requirement

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

-Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work

-Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)

-Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)

-Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and

-Be medically fit
