Course Objective

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • identify duties and responsibilities of a Confined Space Supervisor under the WSH legislations and Codes of Practice
  • identify, prevent and control confined space hazards
  • carry out and comply with the requirements of a Confined space Entry Permit System using a systematic approach
  • apply Gas Detection Instruments and other control measures when working in confined space
  • implement the safe use of personal protective equipment and respiratory protective equipment when working in a confined space
  • assist in Implementing an Emergency Response Plan
Assumed Skills & Knowledge / Pre-requisites

Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

  • complete the WSQ Perform Work in Confined Space Operation course (Recommended)
  • have foundational knowledge and understanding of the relevant work sector in Singapore
  • be able to communicate using English proficiently at a level that is the equivalent of Employability Skills (ES) level 4
  • be able to legibly write and read English proficiently at a level that is the equivalent of ES level 4
  • be able to handle numbers and work around them proficiently at a level that is the equivalent of ES level 4
  • be physically and mentally fit for the task

This course is applicable for SkillsFuture Funding up to 70%..
