Learning Outcome

This course starts with the fundamentals to develop a good appreciation of design concepts, followed by step-by-step process of creating useful digital visual art for businesses through the following learning outcomes.

1: Understand fundamentals of design concept
2: Apply design concept to create illustrative sketches of visual art
3: Develop digital visual art using graphics design software to communicate with intended audiences

Assumed Skills Knowledge / Entry Requirement

This is a basic course so there is no pre-requisite in terms of prior knowledge or working experience.  However, learners must be keen to explore and learn how to use design techniques to create digital visual art.

In addition, we require learners to be:

• at least 21 years old

• completed at least secondary education or able to speak, listen, write, and read English at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification Workplace Literacy Level (WPL) 4.

 

Course Overview

Graphic design is a craft where professionals create visual content to communicate messages. By applying visual hierarchy and page layout techniques, designers use typography and pictures to meet users’ specific needs and focus on the logic of displaying elements in interactive designs, to optimize the user experience
