Learning Outcome

At the end of the course, you will learn how to:

• The objective of the programme is to apply drone flying in the industrial sectors, starting with training the drone pilot to operate the drone safely and competently, and progressing to different applications, e.g., inspection, surveillance, photography, filming, 3D modelling, and others.

• This training programme aims to train the learners to develop drone technology implementation plans by analysing the practicality, feasibility, and risks to perform required work tasks, and following the promulgated rules, regulations and safety protocols pertaining to drone flights.

• This programme helps the organisation to integrate drone technologies into operations to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisational operations and processes.

Assumed Skills Knowledge / Entry Requirement

This course is applicable to anyone who is keen to learn how to pilot a drone.

There is no pre-requisite in terms of working experience or drone handling.

However, there is much outdoor drone piloting practical hours so you must be prepared to be outdoor under the sun.

In addition, you should be at least 21 years old and have at least completed secondary education.

After this course, you can choose to sit for the theory test administered by CAAS and/or apply for the UAPL Class A Rotorcraft (up to 7kg) at a separate cost.
