The WSQ course for operational level workers will help workers gain knowledge on workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations. They will obtain the fundamental knowledge in identifying hazards and assessing risks while complying with WSH procedures at their workplace. On completion of this module, participants will gain the knowledge and application skills to apply workplace safety and health procedures and practices to ensure the safety of oneself and others at work.

The occupations that this unit would be relevant to include but not limited to: 
- Technicians, backroom staff (administrative etc) in the manufacturing industry.

Course Outline:

1. Identify responsibilities under WSH and Environmental Acts
2. Identify hazards and assess risks
3. Comply with WSH at workplace
4. Maintain risk control measures

Assumed Skills & Knowledge:

Learners are assumed to:
-Have a basic knowledge of the manufacturing sector
-Able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) level 3
-Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 3; and
-Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ESS level 3
