Hazmat Transport Driver Permit Course

Learning Outcome

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

identify the 9 classes of dangerous goods (DG) and the basic hazards associate with each classification, know the role and responsibilities as a DG Driver, understand the emergency procedures and be able to take appropriate actions during an incident and be able to fight fires during initial state using fire extinguishers.

Drivers who handle and or transport hazardous materials on the road.

 

Assume skills knowledge / Entry Requirement

- Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

-Have a basic knowledge of fire safety & handling of hazmat materials.

-Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the

Employability Skills (ESS) level 2

- Possess a valid driving license.

-Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and

-Be medically fit

 

Course Overview

This course is meant for the drivers involved in the transportation and handling of hazardous materials on Singapore roads.
