For Whom

The “Fire Watchman Course” is a training course for anyone that wishes to apply for hot-work permit.

 

Assumed Skills Knowledge / Entry Requirement

- Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

-Have a basic knowledge of fire safety

-Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the

-Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)

-Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)

-Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and

-Be medically fit

-Basic concepts and behaviour of fire

-Types of fire

-Classes of fire on the basis of extinguishing materials

-Fire Prevention

-when a fire break out, will teach precautionary methods

-when you are trapped in a fire situation, will teach what action to taken

-If  your clothes catches fire, how to prevent

-Action to take when evacuating from buildings
