Assumed Skills Knowledge / Entry Requirement

- Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

-Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work

-Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)

-Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2 (Applies to English Courses ONLY)

-Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and

-Be medically fit

 

Course Overview

-Identify duties and responsibilities of all personnel involved in confined space work under the WSH Legislations and Code of Practice.

-Identify confined space hazards.

-Use Gas Detection Instruments for atmospheric monitoring

-Comply with Permit-to-Work system and safe work procedures when working in confined space.

-Participate in an emergency for confined space.
